Our commitment

Lake & Anchor Web Studio is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the same standard the U.S. Department of Justice has codified under ADA Title II, and the standard we deliver on every client project.

Conformance status

This website is designed and built to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We test as we build and review the site periodically. Accessibility is an ongoing practice rather than a one-time checkbox, so if you encounter something that doesn't work the way it should, we want to hear about it.

How we built this site accessibly

• Hand-written, semantic HTML with a logical heading structure and landmark regions.
• Color combinations chosen and checked to meet AA contrast ratios for text and interactive elements.
• Full keyboard operability — every interactive element is reachable and usable without a mouse, with visible focus styles.
• Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images, and decorative images marked so assistive technology can skip them.
• Labels and accessible names on all form fields, with status messages announced to screen readers.
• Respect for the “reduce motion” system setting — animations are minimized or removed for visitors who prefer reduced motion.
• Responsive layouts that remain readable and usable when zoomed or viewed on small screens.

Compatibility

This site is built to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge) and with assistive technologies such as screen readers and speech-recognition software. It may not perform as well on older browsers that no longer receive updates.
